Malaysian carriers launch flight promotions to Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia’s low cost carrier AirAsia has launched a five-day promotion that will give away 500,000 free seats without a fuel surcharge to passengers flying from destinations in Southeast and East Asia to Kuala Lumpur.
An AirAsia official said passengers will pay only airport taxes and administrative fees for tickets booked between November 12 and 16 and travel between June 22 and October 24, 2009.
The airline, which operates two routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur, also flies to 60 destinations in China, Macao, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Meanwhile, Malaysian Airlines has also launched a promotion campaign aimed at passengers from Vietnam, offering fares as low as US$57 for travelers from HCMC and $74 for those from Hanoi to Kuala Lumpur.
The e-booking period for the airline’s promotion lasts until November 30 for travel between January 4 and July 31, 2009.
